Romney: Obama 'Repeatedly Underestimated the Threat' in Iraq
Sun Jun 15, 2014
And why were we in Iraq in the first place? Because Bushie and Cheney and Rummy had scores to settle from 1989/90. Saddam wasn't the problem - Al Qaeda was and they diverted resources from that real threat to follow some nightmare about making Iraq a key military/oil base …
GOP Scrambles to Condemn Rancher's Remarks on Race
Thu Apr 24, 2014
Just got into the article and haven't time to read all the previous comments. So I was just struck by Bundy's (ungrammatical) comments about the people in the project in North Las Vegas who don't have enough to do because they are on government subsidies. Those wh …
Obamacare Foes to Newly Insured: Put Down the Donut
Thu Feb 6, 2014
I love the title...and agree - yes - put down that doughnut and get walking. It isn't hard to substitute that kind of junky-sweetie crap with healthy eating. I'm also tired of subsidizing the obese and the smokers for their choices. There is a TLC show on now about 600 lb people...it's d …
Case of Jahi McMath raises questions about life after brain death
Mon Jan 6, 2014
@jkatz - while the hospital may face a "staggering" lawsuit, the lack of a viable autopsy due to the nonsensical antics of that delusional attorney and family will probably undo any effort to extort a settlement from Childrens Hospital.
Brain dead girl Jahi McMath released to coroner, mother: hospital
Mon Jan 6, 2014
@JackieK - I so agree with you. The stories that are coming out on various news media, including a video of a relative saying that the family "suctioned" the girl are pretty convincing that the parents are experiencing a lot of guilt for their participation.
Brain-dead teen to remain on life support pending appeal by family
Mon Dec 30, 2013
How long can a dead body be "kept going" before it starts to decompose? This is looking more and more like some grisly experiment. When the parents decide to face reality - will an autopsy still be possible to determine how this child really died?
'Rooting for her': Strangers raise flood of donations for Texas girl's obesity surgery
Mon Dec 30, 2013
In reply to: toomanypeopletellingmehowtolive #32I I had the same thought about the surgery being done "too soon" - but I did hear that at the current weight gain - the child may weigh around 400 pounds in the time it takes her to mature. Considering that her height may not keep up to the …
Jahi McMath: New York facility is 'last hope' for girl declared brain dead, family say
Sun Dec 29, 2013
I wonder if the family will allow an autopsy after they come back to reality. It would be interesting to find out HOW the girl died. There seems to be a lot of ambiguity around the details of bleeding to death.
Cruz urges Reid to call Senate into session and avert shutdown
Sun Sep 29, 2013
What the teapublicans want is to continue the ACA as their main talking point during the 2014 elections.
After 21 hours, Cruz ends Senate floor marathon
Tue Sep 24, 2013
He gets health insurance via the Feds (i.e. the American taxpayers). Isn't that awesome?
